51 y/o FERS military tech w/28 years civil service. PEB found me “unfit”. DSR question.

I currently have 28 years of civil service. If I buy back the remaining 18 months of mil duty I’ll have 29 years 6 months. I’m assuming the appeals will take more than 6 months. By that time I’ll be 52 with more than 30 years. If they DSR me, will I be given all the same “benefits” of a normal retirement at 30 years? i.e. RAS. Or does the RAS come automatically because I’m a mil tech? Thanks

When did you begin your civilian Military Technician service? Your response will determine if the RAS is paid immediately or at your Minimum Retirement Age.
