Basis when you move an IRA to TSP

I have an IRA with non-deductible contributions (my IRA basis). If I move the IRA to TSP, does the basis go with it? When I take money out of TSP, do I then treat the taxes the same as an IRA? Or is this just to complicated to contemplate?

You are not allowed to roll non-deductible IRA contributions into the TSP. You will only be able to roll your pre-tax IRA contributions into the TSP, so there is no basis to deal with.

Thank you so much. This information is surprisingly difficult to find on-line (for me anyway). So, as I understand it, all I’d be able to transfer would be my actual contributions, not earnings or NDC’s. As it turns out, that number would be less than 1% of my assets, so not worth the hassle to me. Thanks again.
