Different Service Computation Date r/t FERS retirement

I was given a copy of my FERS retirement package by my HR retirement rep. I noticed my SCD date is different from my Pay Statement. I bought back both my Military active duty time and my Federal Temporary service (1982-83). Once all calculations completed & deposits paid in full, my SCD was 10/20/1992 per pay statement. But according to retirement pk it is 6/13/1993. Why?

Without having access to your records I cannot explain what logic your agency has used. You need to ask why the descrepancy as they should have all your records and it sounds as if you should get credit for all your previous service.

Thank you unfortunately the HR person has never returned my calls and I have since resolved to the fact that their only purpose is to submit forms to OPM w the expectation that OPM is responsible and will process the retirement application. I feel I have no choice but to trust the experienced knowledgeable OPM Retirement team will find the information/data in my record to support my SCD claim

Again, unfortunately, that is not OPM’s job. It is your agency’s responsibility to make sure your SCD is correct. Be sure to note on your application you have not been given credit for your service and cannot get a response from your agency.

My retirement application was sent to OPM 10/31/2018. How can I make this information known to OPM after the fact concerning service credit not included by my HR?

Once you receive acknowledgement from OPM and they provide you with your CSA number, contact them with your concerns. Right now they don’t know who you are!
