I am 73 years old and was injured on the job August 2018. I have been receiving Social Security since I was 65. I am being terminated from my position because I can no longer work due to my injuries. Should I take medical retirement?

Once you have met the eligibility requirements for voluntary retirement or reached age 62, the computation for retirement used is that for voluntary retirement. Meaning in your situation, your retirement will be calculated as if you had retired under the voluntary option only.
