FEHB and MRA +10

Does spouse have to be on FEHB for five years prior to employee’s separation before eligible to continue FEHB in retirement? Any penalty for pre-existing condition for employee/spouse when re-enroll after separation and TCC? Is there any danger of lapse of coverage between separating and TCC or TCC ending and beginning of pension?

You have asked several questions and I am hoping the response to the first one eliminates the need for the others as I am not exactly sure what you are asking with respect to TCC. Federal employees are required to meet the five-year rule, non-federal spouses do not. The policy begins coverage on the effective date covering expenses that occur on or after that date, even for conditions occurring before that date (pre-existing condition coverage). What are you wanting to know about TCC?
