How do you apply/receive severance pay after being involuntarily separated from civil service?

I was involuntarily separated as a federal (GS) employee after about 8 years of service, my separation papers state I am eligible for severance pay. The separation was over a month ago and I haven’t even received pay for the nearly 200 hours of annual leave and 100 hours of comp time I had accumulated.

It should be automatic. You need to contact your former HRO and/or payroll office to find out when you can expect to receive it.
