MY organization is restructuring and not only relocating my position several hundreds of miles away, but downgrading it from a GS-13 to a 12. I have 10 prior years in the Air Force and 4 years in the Civil Service. I am considering resigning and applying for separation pay. Does the military time count toward separation pay, and can I keep the medical benefits under these circumstances? Blocked by moderator

Not knowing all the particulars of your specific situation, the link provides additional information on severance pay. And without having 5 or more years of civilian service, even if you made your military service deposit, you are not vested in FERS as it requires 5 years civilian service to be vested. https://ask.fedweek.com/federal-pay/severance-pay/ Blocked by moderator
