Like Social Security benefits, the FERS Retiree Annuity Supplement is subject to an earnings test, which means the FRAS is reduced if your earned (non-passive) income from wages or self-employment is higher than an allowable amount. OPM will send you Form RI 92-22, “Annuity Supplement Earnings Report.” It’s a simple one-page form with 4 questions. You report to OPM all of your earned (non-passive) income. OPM cross-matches your responses with Social Security’s earnings file.
